With regard to the evironment. we have developed and implemented the concept of integrated reclamation of mined-out areas. These take in mined-out areas. These take in consideration the physical, chemical and biological characteristics of the areas, and apply the most appropriate approaches for rehabilitation.

Reclamation and reforestation of mined-out land have been carried out extensively over last 25 years to preserve the ecological support capacity of the mined-out areas.

Koba Tin has also implemented pilot projects where ex-mining land and ponds have been turned into productive ventures in the form of agricultural projects which include cash crops, oil palm plantation, animal husbandry and aquaculture.
