Tin mining at PT. Koba Tin employs 24 cu. ft. bucket- chain dredges, fleets of EME, gravel pump units and tailings retreatment plants (locally known as 'palong').
Extensive mine planning and development activities are carried out prior to operations and construction of comprehensive infrastructure to facilitate recovery of tin ore from the ground in the most cost-effective manner.
Close attention is also given to environmental management at all stages of mining operations. Mine water discahrge and reclamation programs are two areas where particular attention is focused.
The operations are supported by a complete range of technical services including mechanical, electrical and EME repair and maintenance facilities.
