Tin concentrate from the mines are upgraded to an average of 74% tin-content using wet gravity separation and dry conncentration processes before being fed to the semelter.


The smelter produces 'Koba' brand tin metal ingots which contain a minimum of 99,9% tin and the brand is registered with the London Metal Exchange (LME). To cater for the worldwide demand for tin with low-lead content, Koba Brand LLT 100 guarantees a minimum of 99.9% tin and a maximum of 0.01% lead.


The tin metal produced complies with the international standards : BS EN 610:1996 and ASTM B339-1995.
